BLACKBERRY'S USAGE (October 27th, 2010)
work overtime on their Blackberry’s, laptops, cellphones, and PDAs. It’s
interesting to see this number because Blackberry’s are now being used more
than laptops and other cellphones. Their usage is high. Their productivity
level is even greater. Managers and professionals are using the blackberry at
least 7 hours a week and 55% of them have said it has helped them with their
workload. A business user of the blackberry can do their whole day job on the
blackberry. These numbers definitely show Blackberry’s great usage. The
blackberry helps a lot of its users stay connected with others, check their
email, check whatever they want, as well as finish complete workloads just in
their palms. Why wouldn’t someone want a blackberry? A lot of users of
Blackberry’s are really content about Blackberry messenger being really safe
and secure with the conversations. Blackberry’s are the brand of phones that
got sold so fast as soon as they were introduced. This shows how great of an advertisement the Blakberry Company had come up with. They introduced their company and their products really well to get people to want to purchase their products.
Blackberry APPLICATIONS (October 20th 2010)
Blackberry Applications
Just like an IPhone, the Blackberry has many applications as well. These apps range
from a dictionary, to horoscopes, to comedy jokes, to even games. Majority of
the apps that Blackberry is equipped with comes for free. Such apps like the
ones mentioned help users of the blackberry engage themselves more in their
phone and make them quite content about their phones. There is pretty much an
app for everything people do. They can have an Hotmail messenger app, a twitter
app, a LinkedIn app, weather app, and even a sports news app. Blackberry’s are
known for their great amount of applications out there. Some apps cost up to
$5.00 when other non-popular ones are for FREE. Imagine being able to play poker
online, or even booking a flight for your next vacation getaway. How amazing is
that? The vacation booking is very convenient for those business people who can’t
come into an actual place to book their vacation, instead they do it online. The
purpose of all the apps for blackberry’s is to keep the users connected and interested
with their friends, families, and the newest technology information out there.

October 6th 2010: Blogger Post 4: Blackberry Messenger for you Socializers
. Blackberry .Vs. Apple
The Apple IPhone has just been a great hit in the market. Apple had just launched their new Iphone as well. Blackberry decided to wait until September 30th to launch their new Blackberry Torch 9800. This wait was such a great hit. Blackberry was smart to market their product after Apple’s Iphone. This was to get their customers to be more anxious and excited about the new phone. Apple is definitely Blackberry’s main competitor. These two companies are both successful in establishing their markets and their key products. Both these new phones are just a add on and a big improvement to their previous phone, Iphone 3G and Blackberry Bold 9700. Both companies noticed that their customers were so hooked onto their brands, and the companies wanted to provide their customers much more, so they added newer and better features to both their new phones. An Apple IPhone’s features includes: engineered glass, a retina display, stainless steel, Apple A4 Processor, and many more features. It’s just a vast detailed upgrade from the previous phone. The Torch .VS. The Bold
So the Blackberry 9800 Torch has been launched and it’s been doing great. The only battle that continues is the determination of what’s better, the blackberry 9700 bold or the 9800 Torch. Believe it or not, there have been many arguments between the two of them. Let’s start with the most important thing to many of us the body of the phone and how it looks The Torch measure 111×62×14.6mm, while the Bold 9700 measures at 109×60x14mm. The Torch has a bigger body because it can also carry more stuff, while Bold 9700 has 2.4” screen the Torch occupies a 3.2” touch screen. As for the camera because that is probably the next most important thing that we look at is the camera. In the camera section the Bold 9700 brings 3.2 megapixels while the new Torch brings a 5 megapixel camera on board, being an impressive improvement in this section. Believe it or not the OS system is also a pretty big deal as well.
To an average teen or an adult this may not be such a big deal but to the big corporate head bumpers this is a huge deal. The Torch brings BlackBerry OS 6 to the table, it is the latest BlackBerry operation system, on the other side the Bold 9700 is equipped with older OS which is the OS 5. The newer OS delivers some improvement and new feature, but compared to the recent great OS the Android and iOS, this phone OS looks really old. Now let’s see what others come out with in terms of OS because as we know the systems are changing every week. However, though the Torch has been elected to be the flagship device. Some of the features don’t seem to bring Bold 9700 down, it is better to line them together as a variant since they both share almost the same feature if the Bold 9700 is upgraded to OS 6. In our opinion, we prefer the Blackberry 9700. This is because we personally hate touch screen phones; they’re really difficult to work with. The bold just looks so much nicer because it does not slide up, and everything is all in one view of the phone.

Blackberry Torch 9800
What’s the newest buzz on the street all about? The Blackberry Torch of course! Not only does it come with its amazing keyboard but it comes with a full touch screen. As you know by now, the screen slides up on a nearly invisible metal track to reveal a rather traditional BlackBerry QWERTY down below. It also comes with its new blackberry 6 operating system. And it doesn’t stop there with a 5 MP camera with flash, continuous auto-focus and image stabilization, plus 11 photo modes and video recording. But, the best thing about the phone is that it looks very much like the current crop of BlackBerry devices. Besides that fact that yes, it slides open, you're basically dealing with the same industrial design that we've come to know from RIM (Research In Motion) over the past two years or so. Sure, there are variations on a theme, but side-by-side with the Bold 9700, it's obvious to see where Torch got its looks from. Now you might be thinking why steal the same look? Because that’s what the customers want and it’s proven the blackberry bold 9700 was the top selling device coming up with the idea of the touch screen adding the touch screen was probably the wisest thing that RIM has ever thought of. It wouldn’t make sense to change the design of the phone, if it’s what customers are looking for. What RIM has succeeded in doing however, is creating a BlackBerry that BlackBerry users will want and enjoy. Although it might not gain RIM market share, it will definitely aid in retention.
